“Tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.” ― Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
San Diego city government has long had the wrong priorities. Tax giveaways to special interests. Criminalizing homelessness instead of implementing evidence-based solutions. Funding large legacy projects instead of revitalizing our neighborhoods. Favoring developers’ luxury condo projects over the building of affordable housing. Band-aids over long-term solutions. Politics over people.
It’s time for that to change.
I am an environmental, consumer protection and civil rights attorney with a lifetime history of using my law degree to stand up to special interests on behalf of those who often do not have a voice in the legal system.
As a San Diego City Councilmember, I will work to increase neighborhood services, improve quality of life, protect our drinking water, implement proven solutions to our homelessness crisis that will also save taxpayer money, increase housing affordability, and make sure that we all have a voice at City Hall.
With your support, I will bring my record of fighting for the public interest to City Hall. Please call me on my cellphone at 619-723-0369 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if there is anything you would like to discuss.
